I love you Grandpa!!

I had the saddest night of my life so far last night. My Grandpa died. He has been in the care center in Richfield now for eleven months after he fell and broke his hip last March. I was very blessed to be able to be so near him when he was in the hospital having his hip surgery. They took him to Cedar and since I live in St. George I was able to see him every day that he was in Cedar and my Grandma even got to stay at my house one night!! He has really struggled since he has been living in the Care Center, I am so so sad that he is gone. My heart hurts and I dont know how to make it stop! I am so glad that I know he is able to walk again and be whole. The gospel is such a blessing in my life especially during times like this!! I will remember my Grandpa every day of my life! My sisters and I along with Malcolm were so lucky to grow up with my grandparents just down the street! My Grandpa was so loving, they never missed a birthday party, Grandpa used to take all us girls with him to feed the calves, I cant imagine that was an easy task. However I always felt like he didnt mind!! Thank you Grandpa for all the memories. I have so many!! I love you!!These are my Grandparents. I love them both! Isnt that such a good picture of them! My Mom and Dad had this done a few years ago! I will cherish it forever!!
This picture was taken on my blessing day. Way way back then!! My Grandma has a little color to her hair!!I dont remember that! She is looking HOT! Gramps is still sporting the same hairdo from way back then!!

This is my grandparents with some of us girls. Grandpa is holding Ann, then me cheesing it up, Lora, Elin and Grandma is holding Susie.

This is Grandpa with us girls. Must be summer, Grandma always had popsicle. I loved eating them there because Grandma did make me break them in half and share the other half with one of my sisters!! Yeah, I was a brat even then! This is taken at there house in the back, Lora in back, Elin is in front of Lora, Ann, then me (again cheesing it up) on Grandpas lap!

This last picture is when Jaxon was two weeks old. It is the first time that my Grandparents had seen him! I love this picture. Look at how they are just looking at Jax. Its so cute!!

Those deaf ears!

Jax had surgery again on his ears on Friday. He had tubes put in when he was 10 months old. Because of that they couldnt get wet and got a bit of a build up. They said the only way to get that much wax out so close to the ear drum was surgically remove it. Both of his tubes had also fallen out. So when they got in there to get the wax out they saw that the ears were really badly infected and needed new tubes put in. He has been almost completely deaf in one ear and the other he could hear about 40 % in. Since the wax was so bad they couldnt see all the infection. Which was also causing him to not hear well. Elin, TJ, Madi and Jace sent him balloons and Jelly beans! He was so excited. They got there right before we left and it really made his day!!
He was really excited about the surgery till he had to wear the hospital "nightgown" because that is for girls. We got it on him though and he looked so cute!!

He packed up his bag that morning before we left and took his blanket he sleeps with that he got from Grandma Dixie and Grandpa Glenn three years ago. He also packed his "farm" he sleeps with everynight. His 2 dogs Lionel uno and Lionel dos. His giraffe GIGI and his webkin cow Crash. Along with his leapster and all the games, some matchbox cars, some plastic farm animals. It was a very heavy bag!!Once he got the Leapster out he was doing much better. Willie met us at the hospital and Grandma Lucinda Maurice took Ryker to work with her and Chey Mikell took him to lunch while we were at the hospital. I was really glad that Willie was there. I am not one of those "strong"emotional people. When the wheeled him back he was fully awake and very scared to leave me. He was holding on to my hand and screaming. Of course I was totally crying. It was quite the ordeal. I am so glad Willie was there to calm us both down. The surgery went fine and he could hear again immediately after!! It was so awesome!!

The first tooth is GONE!!

We had quite the happening in the Nikolaus house last night. Jax lost his first tooth. It has been "wiggly" for 5-6 month now. No joke. However he was really afraid of loosing it. He didnt know for sure if one would grow back in its place and he didnt want to look like a "dork" forever!! However last night he says to me." I am really sick of this "wiggly teeth I am going to make it come out" He really did too. He pushed it back to see if it would touch his tongue. I heard the actual snap and then it was hanging by one thread and touching his tongue. Will helped him get it out of his mouth and now we have a Jack-0- Lantern for a son. Isnt he so cute without the tooth though!! He called all the grandparents to let them know he had lost his tooth. Then he says to me" oh no you forgot one person...Aunt Lauri" so he called Aunt Lauri too! Thanks to all the granparents and Lauri for answering your phones and making him feel so "cool" and "big".

THis is the actual tooth not the best picture but I am sure you get the idea!! I didnt know that four year olds even lost teeth! But we thought it was really cool! We put the tooth in an envelope so he could put it under his pillow. However Jax being Jax did not want the tooth fairy in his room. That would "totally creep" him out. So he put it on the kitchen cupboard. He asked Willie and I every ten minutes till he finally fell asleep around midnight if the tooth fairy would take a long time to get here. He didnt want to see him. He wanted to be sound asleep. He was actually really scared of the whole idea!! The tooth fairy made it and Jax is 5 dollars richer!!

Valentines Day!

Willie and I decided this year that we were not going to get each other gifts. We were just going to go out to dinner without the kids. That to both of us is the best gift you can get!! Of course Will didnt live up to his end and he got me a gift!! I must say that I love it!! I love my husband. I really do have the best hubby on earth. He is too sweet!! Thanks Will for the Valentine Suprise!!He got me a purse and flowers.
I love pretty colorful arrangements. I am not really a fun of roses. These were so perfect!!

I had been eyeing this purse of a couple of days. Seriously only days. I was so suprised to see that he had gotten it for me!! I have an obsession with purses lately!! I was the happiest girl! I switched my stuff from one purse to this one in a matter of seconds!! Thanks Will, I love you!!
**Oh and I am lame and really didnt get him anything poor Willie he deserves better**

THE BIG MOVE!!

We have recently moved from Washington to Santa clara!! We have rented out the house that we own and are renting another!! We knew for along time that they house we own in Washington, though it is really big inside. Is very small when it comes to yard. Having to very loud and wild boys I knew it was only a matter of time before we "outgrew" the yard...or lack of it in the house. We decided it was time to get some yard space for the boys. We found this "little" rental house in Santa Clara which is ideally where Will was wanting to live. Although the house is much smaller then the one we moved from and a little older. The yard is HUGE therefore we decided to give it a try and see if when we "settle down" we want a big house or a smaller house, a little yard, or a big yard. So far I know the big yard is winning. The boys now live outside!! It has been such a good move for them!!

This is the "formal" living room. As formal as you get in our house anyways!!!

Dinning room. I am loving the dinning room since our house in Washington does not have one. I didnt think it made that big of difference. Boy was I wrong. I love a dining room!!

Family room. It has a wood burning stove which I HATE. But other then that I love it!!

Kitchen. Which is combined with the family room. Dont mind the pants drying over the chairs. I dont know why I didnt move those for the picture! oh well.
This is the backyard. The grass part of it anyways. The boys spend hours on the concrete riding there bikes, scooters and skateboards!!
There soccer nets fit in the back with room to actually run the ball back and forth!! Back behind the tree line....
Is this...the perfect place for the boys to dig and ride there four wheelers. Which they do everyday. Jaxon comes in from playing everyday and tell me what an awesome new house this is!! I also have to admit that cleaning this house is alot easier and only take a few hours every morning. I am thinking that a smaller house is the way to go!!

Bye Bye Uncle Ninny

Wills little brother Kinney went to the MTC on January 21. (I know I am a slacker) It was one of the hardest days of my life. It is really hard to explain to Jaxon why his "favorite Uncle" Is leaving him for two years. Even though there is no where on this earth I would rather that he be then on his mission it is still so hard to have him gone. It has almost been a month and I am still crying putting these pictures on our blog. Kinney has been such a great example to my boys and such a huge part of there lives. We miss him dearly. Jaxon still asks me every day if this is the day that Kinney gets to come home. I tell him no and he still cries. I know eventually it will become "normal" to have him gone. However that day has not came yet!! WE MISS YOU EVERYDAY KINS!! WE LOVE YOU!!

This is Kins with the boys the day of his farewell. He got them badges that say future missionary and both the boys still wear them on there suites to church.

This is taken on the day he reported to the MTC. We stopped at Dennys to have breakfast and he took wrote a little note to Jaxon on his hand.It says I love Elder Nikolaus. Jaxon cried the day that it washed off and sadly so did I.

The boys in front of the MTC. I didnt get a lot of photos. I was crying and it was not on my mind to snap pictures. Luckily Mags got some for me. I just cant make this a long post my heart is still a little raw. The shorter the better on this one. I sure hope I learn to love missions by the time my boys are the age to go. Because today I hate them.
